Efren has worked across the broadest spectrum of operations and acquisitions activities since he joined Shorts Entertainment Networks in 2012. Initially part of the team acquiring and releasing the “Oscar Nominated Short Films”, he was a key team member in the first theatrical release of “Stars in Shorts”. He has expanded his work as a member of the acquisitions team, taking the in-house lead in growing a sizeable Hispanic and Latino film library. He has successfully represented the Company at key Latino festivals such as: Hola Mexico FF, San Diego FF, Guadalajara International FF (FICG in LA), Latino International Film Institute & Festival (LALIFF), Shorts Mexico FF, Mexico International FF, and Corto Creativo FF – Tijuana, looking for the best of Latino content and offering distribution deals for iTunes, Amazon, and TV licenses for ShortsHD™ for both the US and European channels.
Efren has more than 10 years in the film and TV industry, and received his first exposure to television development while working at El Norte Productions (US) where he worked alongside writer and director Gregory Nava. While at El Norte, he worked in the development department during the production of the PBS series, "American Family" and the feature film, “Bordertown" (2006). After leaving El Norte, Efren worked in film and TV production as a camera operator and post-production freelance editor. Efren is an accomplished short film writer and producer, and has written and produced short films, both personally and professionally, in the US & Mexico.
Efren is an Angeleno and attended The Art Institute of Los Angeles where he received his Bachelor of Science in Digital Video Production and Motion Picture.

Linda Campos Olszewski affectionately known in the entertainment industry as “Linda O” is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable people in the short film industry. After trying to get a shorts division launched at several studios, she joined SHORTS INTERNATIONAL in January 2006 to oversee the launch and acquisitions of the Oscar Shorts Theatrical/VOD/iTunes releases as an Associate Producer. She has served on over 100 international film fest juries and panels throughout North and South America and Europe, offering distribution deals for iTunes, Amazon, and TV license for ShortsHD™ - The Short Movie Channel. Linda has contributed to “Swimming Upstream: A Lifesaving Guide to Short Film Distribution,” “The Guerilla Filmmakers Pocketbook,” and “Making it Big in Shorts: The Ultimate Filmmaker's Guide to Short Films.” She holds an MA in film, and runs festival strategy and distribution workshops in the US, Mexico and South America. She was recently one of 6 short film executives from around the world chosen to participate in Guadalajara Film Festival’s “Shorts UP,” has participated in Guanajuato Intl Film Festival’s “Think Tank,” and FICIL BIO BIO Global Industry Initiative across central Chile. Recent favorite juries include Louisiana Film Prize, Monterrey FF, Hollyshorts and SXSW. She remains steadfast in championing diversity on ShortsHD with programming efforts to promote women directors through “Films by HER”, Latino filmmakers in “Latino Films” spotlights, and Indigenous filmmakers in the upcoming Global First Nation spotlight. Before joining Shorts, she acquired short films for The Hatchery and EVEO, developed shorts for Hanna-Barbera’s WHAT A CARTOON for Cartoon Network, programmed shorts for the DreamWorks Short FF, Palm Springs Short FF, Newport Beach FF and Sofia Independent FF, and pre-screened shorts and features for Fear Fete and Sundance FF. Additional credits include SHREK, THE ROAD TO EL DORADO, PRINCE OF EGYPT, REALITY BITES, and THE LIFE OF DAVID GALE. She began her career as a documentary cameraman and photojournalist in Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion and with the Totonacs in Huehuetla, Mexico. She remains an avid photographer, making pictures of the short film world, and is a new member of AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) for their Short Film and Feature Animation branch’s class of 2016.

Jenny Hayden has
been acquiring distribution rights to
television programs under the banner
of Planet Pictures since 1989 where
she built a distribution catalog of
over 2000 hours and managed sales into
over 180 countries. Her first job as
a college graduate with a double major
in theater and mass communications was
at WCCO -TV, the CBS affiliate in Minneapolis,
where she worked as an undercover investigative
reporter and expose type hard news reports.
Later, promoted to the Director of Community
Services, she also created, produced
and managed an array of innovative public
service campaigns and community outreach
programs for the CBS-owned channel.
Many of Ms. Hayden's documentaries and
public service campaigns received multiple
national awards for excellence, including
the Dupont, Columbia, the George Foster
Peabody, and the national Emmy.

over 12 years experience in broadcasting,
production management, content development,
co-production financing and acquisitions,
having previously worked for companies
like Discovery USA, Discovery Europe
and Carlton International (now ITV Studios

Simon has been an integral member of the
short film community since 2000 when he
joined the Barcelona-based distributor
Morphe Art Pictures. In 2002 he moved
to the UK's Britshorts [now Shorts International]
and has since built up an impressively
diverse catalogue of high-quality short
films that are distributed to broadcasters
and new media outlets worldwide including
iTunes and Shorts International's own
TV Network ShortsTV. A veteran of the
short film festival circuit, Simon is
also a regular jury and panel member at
film events. For 9 years he has also been
working as one of the Short Film Advisors
at the BFI London Film Festival.
